My family has been cultivating vines for over a century and a half: Blaise is actually Blaise Granier, my great-great-grandfather. Hence the wine of Blaise, of course. I am in Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes, near Cairanne and Rasteau in the Vaucluse. The vines of the Vin de Blaise are organic and are between 50 and 60 years old. In conversion to Demeter biodynamics. I am also a member of a cooperative. But I have been making a small production since the 2015 harvest: 5000 cols for the vintages for sale, with two red wines: Le vin de Blaise cuvée Violette (AOP CDR) and Le vin de Blaise cuvée Marguerite (AOP CDRV). And soon white! Of course no commercial yeasts, no additives, no filtration, no fining, and depending on the vintage, the sulphites in my wines are between 10 and 30 mg/l in total (max bio = 100mg/l). The 2020 vintages are labeled “Vin Methode Nature, less than 30 mg/l”.
