About Applecreek Specialty Foods
Buddy and Betty Hall, along with their children, founded Applecreek Specialty Foods in 1991. Buddy combined his vast knowledge of traditional shaker recipes and cooking unique lineup of home-style fruit preserves and butter. Eventually, Buddy would develop a unique line of bourbon-infused products. These products include but are not limited to Ky Bourbon Marinade, Barbeque Sauce, Bourbon Caramel, & Bourbon Fudge Dessert Sauces. After his passing, Buddy's legacy went into the care of his son. Chip Hall teamed up with his long-time friends, Mike and Tammy Leal. The couple took ahold of the reigns for the business and would produce Buddy's extraordinary recipes in lovingly small batches for the next eleven years. In 2020, the Leal's met David Ochoa, Owner & CEO of Bluegrass Superior Foods. David served many years in the food industry before their meeting, starting 1999 until 2015. He then decided to open the doors to his very own co-packing facility. David now carries the legacy of Applecreek Specialty Foods, and it is humbly nested in the heart of Bluegrass Specialty Foods in Louisville, KY.
