Created in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont, with maple syrup from down the road, each small batch is made with care and intention. Halvah is a simple whole food, that reaches back to Old World Persia. Our recipe honors this ancient snack, while utilizing a most abundant and local to us sweetener; maple syrup! Organic sesame tahini, pure Vermont maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt. That's it! This beautifully simple treat is an amazing energy source, and is free of gluten, grains, dairy, and refined sugar. We choose to create this halvah without the use of additives or emulsifiers, so you will find the natural oils will separate at room temp- not to worry, it's still perfect! Holy Halvah will happily keep in a cool spot or the fridge for months. Holy Halvah started on a whim, with a desire to create a halvah recipe that isn’t loaded with sugar or corn syrup. We know you’ll be smitten with the creamy, flaky texture and the sweet, salty, nutty flavor profile.
