FAIR GINGER; Fair Trade Ginger! Ginger, a plant native to Southeast Asia, has been cultivated for over 3000 years. Its rhizome (the root) is consumed in various forms: fresh, powdered, pickled... It is mainly used for making candied ginger. Several varieties of ginger exist, all with different tastes and qualities depending on their place of production. OUR ORGANIC GINGER IS GROWN IN CHINA. IT IS HARVESTED IN OCTOBER AND THEN PROCESSED INTO CANDIED GINGER USING A TRADITIONAL CANDYING PROCESS. 1.
