Wanna Matcha is owned and operated by native Idahoan, Mitsuko Lili. Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Mitsuko has had a lifelong love for all things Japanese. Named after her great-grandmother Mitsuko Takahashi from Hokkaido in Sapporo, Japan, she carries the name with intentions to bring an appreciation of this rich history to her local community. It is her priority to offer a high quality matcha like the one's she grew up enjoying and make it an accessible option for all tea lovers alike across the Treasure Valley and beyond. Wanna Matcha works closely with tea cultivars in Kagoshima, Japan to bring the only freshly milled, 100% USDA Certified Organic, and no-additive matcha to you. In a market where so few green tea options tick each of these boxes, Wanna Matcha prioritizes quality and authenticity over the other brands. Our matcha is seen under the supervision of Tea Master, or Chashi, Kenta Ikeda. Mr. Ikeda is a 10th grade Chashi of which only 13 people have earned this title.
