Yes. By default, brands are available to all locations where Faire is live. If you are unable to sell to certain locations, you can manage this from the Shop settings page of your account.
To determine if your products can be sold in other countries, please consult a customs broker or legal counsel about readiness. You are responsible for complying with all laws, rules and regulations, including but not limited to: product safety, labeling requirements, testing, warnings, import/export regulations, and/or other consumer protection law requirements.
How do I control where my shop sells to?
To restrict selling to a country, deselect the country from the list of countries in your Account settings. Selecting Europe for example will automatically select all European countries, you can then deselect countries within one group to adjust your sales territories.
You can also set different order and reorder minimums per country for the countries you are selling to. Any new minimum order or reorder you set will only apply on future orders.
Can I decide who carries my products?
Yes! Who you work with is your choice. You always have the final say before fulfilling an order.
You can also choose to work only with shops that have a brick-and-mortar presence. However, please be aware that we do not restrict brick-and-mortar stores from selling on their own online shops. With that in mind, our online-only retailers are also restricted to their own online boutiques.
For more information on editing your online-only retailer settings, please see What are online-only retailers?
Can I block a specific zip or postal code?
If you have existing agreements with retailers in a specific area, you can block incoming orders from one or more zip codes.
Canadian brands can block postal codes, but this is limited to the first three digits. For example, if you want to block postal code N2J 0B9, it will block all retailers in postal codes beginning with N2J.
At this time, this feature is only available to brands/retailers located in the US and Canada. We are unable to restrict postal codes for brands located in the UK, EU, or AUS.
If you are a brand located in the US or Canada and you’d like to block a zip or postal code, please let us know and we’ll connect you with a support specialist to assist.
Why did I receive an order from a location I restricted?
There are a few instances that may override your location settings:
- Faire Direct link: Any order that is placed through your Faire Direct link will go through, regardless of the retailer's location
- Returning orders: If you have successfully fulfilled an order from a retailer before your location settings have been set, their returning orders will continue to go through
- Invoicing tool: Any order you wrote on behalf of a retailer using the Invoicing tool will go through, regardless of retailer's location
- Customer page: If you have added the retailer to your customers page, orders placed through marketing campaigns will go through, regardless of the retailer's location
- Retailer profile incomplete: If an order is on hold pending further details from the retailer when you change your location settings, the order will still go through to your portal when the retailer finishes their profile
