When using Faire, two of the most popular ways to find products are to use our search bar to look up a particular product, brand name, or keyword or to explore our categories and browse. Both methods offer the ability to narrow down your search using various filters.

Using the search bar

The search bar is a great tool for finding a specific brand. Type the brand name into the search bar, and a dropdown list will appear with suggestions that include the brand name. This feature lets you quickly and easily navigate to the brand's page.

The search bar is great for finding specific products, and can also help if you have a general idea of what you want.

When looking for something specific, use descriptive words to help our search engine display the desired product. Ex: organic cotton green jumpsuit or soy wax taper candle.

We take a comprehensive approach to curating products based on your search, which includes reviewing the product name, description, images, and attributes and identifying the products that best meet your needs.

Using filters

You can refine your search results using filters on Faire. After selecting a category or searching for a brand or product, select the All Filters button on the left side of the screen to customize your search. Available filter options include:

• Based in: This denotes the location of a brand's headquarters or primary business operations. It can differ from where the brand makes its products and where the brand ships its products.
• Ships from: This specifies the primary location from which the brand orders are shipped.
• Made in: Reflects the country of manufacture, production, or substantial transformation of the product the brand is selling - in accordance to country of origin (COO) based on the definition used by the U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Brands can set this location on their shop, and on individual products. We will show results based on the product level **Made in** country if it is available.
• Brand minimum: The required minimum spend to checkout with that respective brand
• Category: How the product is categorized
• Wholesale price: The price you will pay per item
• MSRP: The manufacturers suggested retail price
• Ship window: Specifies if your product will ship as soon as possible, based on the brand's lead time, or has preorder options
• Preorder by month: When the product will be available to ship
• Lead time: The time it takes the brand to ship an order
• Product types: The category that the brand assigns their product to best categorize the item.
  • Ex: skirt, baking mix, dog collar
• Brand: You can filter your results to only products from a specific brand

When shopping on Faire, you may notice different badges or labels attached to products. These badges are designed to help you find products that meet your specific needs. Each of the above core categories houses subcategories to make narrowing down your product search easier. All nested subcategories will surface when you hover over a core category. As you select subcategories, additional options for more specific products will surface. For example, under the Home decor category, you can select the Candles & holders subcategory to get to the more specific categories of Candles, Holders & matches, and Wax warmers & melts.

You can also apply filters to the chosen category to narrow your product results further. Once you’ve selected a category and navigation panel.

Insider

If you’re an Insider member, you can find brands and products that offer Insider free shipping by looking for the Insider key or using the Insider filter while shopping.

Top Shop

Brands who’ve earned Top Shop status will receive an exclusive Top Shop badge on their shop page and products throughout Faire, so you can easily identify them. You can also filter results to shop Top Shop brands exclusively.

Brand Specials

If you’re looking for brands that are currently offering sales, use the brand specials category, located under Featured > Featured brands > Brand specials

Our advanced ranking algorithm evaluates over 100 factors to determine the most relevant products to display during a search.

This personalized approach ensures you discover the perfect products tailored specifically for your store. We consider various elements such as your store type, order history, and geographical location. Additionally, our algorithm considers search relevance and product quality to enhance your search experience.

Understanding the various components of a product listing

You may notice different badges or labels attached to products when shopping on Faire. These badges are designed to help you find products that meet your specific needs. Using this information paired with the product details can help you determine if the product is a good fit.

On the product description page, you can find a variety of information about the product and also the brand. Above the product image you can see the brand's name, their rating on Faire, and the order minimum.

Why can’t I find a specific product?

Faire’s search engine uses machine learning to provide a customized shopping experience. We do this to ensure that our brands get seen by retailers who are a good match for their products.

If you don’t see a specific product appear in the search results, it may be because the brand has specific selling permissions.

Different selling permissions brands can set include:

• Unpublished items - Unpublished products won’t appear in search results.
• Your location - Brands may restrict sales based on location, such as a country or region. Your location will also determine which orders can be shipped, as some products on Faire may not be available for sale in all locations where retailers are present.
• Your store type - Brands can opt out of selling to online-only retailers and social sellers.
• Preorder items- Only qualified retailer accounts are able to search and view preorder items.

If a product is missing from your search you can connect with the brand directly to help determine if they have a setting turned on that is impacting your ability to find a specific product.
