A FAMILY STORY The Mimaté adventure starts in 2019, following a magnificent trip to Argentina Mimaté is above all a family story. Born of an Argentinian father, I remember that already at the age of 6/8 I was fascinated by the preparation of mate and the smell that emanated from his calabash. Whenever my father prepared his infusion in the morning or after a good meal, I couldn't help but follow him everywhere and watch him explain to me how the traditional drink of his native country was prepared: mate. Growing up I understood that mate was still unknown in France. Following a trip to Argentina, having seen the local cultures of yerba mate, I immediately wanted to create a unique range of mate, to be able to introduce this naturally energizing drink in France. SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT MATE 2018 - 2019 During our trip to Argentina we were able to meet several local farmers. Our goal was to find the perfect mate that was accessible to everyone. We knew that we had to find a mate that was neither too strong nor too bitter but keeping the benefits and the special taste of yerba mate. Why did we know that? Well because since childhood, many friends have tried to sip the mate that we had at home and very often it was the same remarks that came out: “your thing is super strong!” , “It looks like tea but more bitter” or “it's too dusty, it goes into the straw”Read their story
