The finch whisky distillery was founded by Hans-Gerhard Fink, who by no means started as a master distiller, but who worked as a farmer and managed a 400-hectare farm in the Swabian Alb. The fact that Fink is now the owner of one of the largest German whisky distilleries dates back to the 90s. Back then, Fink got married to a small fruit distillery. He was so fascinated by burning that he tried it himself a little later. Fink became more and more immersed in his new passion and had more, larger distilleries set up to professionally produce fruit brandies and spirits. It was at this time that the Finch Whisky Distiller idea was born, because the raw materials were finally grown in their own fields. The central element of finch whiskies is the quality of the raw materials and the fact that the entire production process is in the hands of the finch whisky distillery and under the control of Hans-Gerhard Fink. From the field to the bottle is Finch's motto and that starts with the soil for sowing and the selection of seeds. The grain for Finch whiskies grows in the Swabian Alb, is carefully malted, mashed, fermented and finally distilled in a pot still specially designed for Finch. In every Finch whisky, you can taste the expertise from seed to bottling from the barrel.
