I started SwaddleDesigns with a desire to help new parents learn how to calm and comfort their newborn so everyone could get more sleep, and do so safely and with style. My mission continues to be to create beautifully designed, high quality, socially responsible baby essentials that new parents need and love to use. There is tender emotion around the birth of a baby, and I am sensitive to that as a mom and as a nurse when I choose my color palettes and hand sketch my designs. There are sweet stories that inspire each of my prints and designs. Our baby essentials are made from premium fabrics for softness and durability. Our teams are experienced and skilled sewists and strive to deliver high quality craftsmanship. We are Miss April Mini, a small family business run by 2 sisters. Having already been in the textile market for the last 5 years, we already knew how beautiful traditional Turkish products were, so naturally when we both became mums, we wanted some of these products for our babies! We have curated a collection of beautiful goods for your minis (and a few for you). All our textile products are ethically made in Turkey using traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations of artisans. Every other item you will find at Miss April Mini is sourced and manufactured right here in Australia by like-minded small businesses and mamas.

Making a change through beautiful baby essentials Our family wanted to give back. We also wanted beautiful baby items that actually represented our personal style. Mini Wander was born as an opportunity to do both! “Mini Wander was born as a way to give back: we’re deeply blessed and we feel a call to make a difference in the world” As a family, we recognize we’ve been incredibly blessed: being first-generation immigrants and living in the US, we knew we had to give back and make a positive impact in other people’s lives, especially children! But at the time and although we were living a good life, there wasn’t a lot of wiggle room: living paycheck to paycheck, it was sometimes impossible to set money aside for charity. So, while browsing through the baby aisle in preparation for our new little one, we had an idea. First, we realized that even though baby items come in plenty of different shapes and colors, most of them clashed with our personal sense of style. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with classic baby patterns, but they didn’t inspire us. Pairing our different talents, we knew we could make a difference! Kristina’s creative flair was the perfect balance to Roman’s ability to handle the “business side of things”.
