Galletti’s social initiatives promote financial independence for women, the eradication of gender-based violence, conservation of ecosystems, and the creation of fair prices. GALLETTI’S MISSION IS TO PRODUCE SPECIALTY COFFEE, WHILE HONORING THEIR SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES. Since 2008, Galletti has worked in close partnership with over 2,600 Ecuadorian families who produce coffee as their main source of income. By purchasing CAFÉ GALLETTI, customers support small Ecuadorian coffee producers and a supply chain that is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the 2030 United Nations agenda – prioritizing the 5Ps for sustainable development: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership. In 2010, Galletti introduced a program and specialty line of coffee that supports gender equality, one of the United Nations SDGs, called Café Mujeres. The program seeks to shrink the gender pay gap, as well as provide financial independence and employment opportunities for women. Café Galletti buys coffee at a differentiated price – a higher, fair price.Part of this differentiated price generates seed capital which goes on to fund entrepreneurial ventures of women.Café Galletti mentors the women, ensuring they have the education they need to make their ventures succeed.
