OURO was built on a mission to create the cleanest burning candle without ever compromising scent or performance. As a creative outlet from her day job in finance, Jayne Gold founded OURO, a candle brand that would captivate the senses and illuminate spaces in every home. Portuguese for “gold”, the brand’s name came as inspiration from her own. As luck would have it, the name fit the mission perfectly: to set the gold standard for what candles should be. Jayne let this mission guide her as she sourced ingredients, tested products, and carefully created the essence of the brand. Every OURO candle is carefully poured by hand in Los Angeles, California. Committed to creating a truly clean experience, we curate only the finest natural ingredients and fragrances from around the world, free from harmful chemicals and additives. Our candles are crafted using high-quality coconut wax, known for its uniquely clean burn. Paired with lead-free natural cotton wicks, the result is a product that creates less soot as it burns and keeps your air free from harmful chemicals, phthalates, and dyes.
