We are a family owned and managed Premium Pork Company based in Goldsboro, NC. For over 40 years, we have been breeding the top 3% of our hogs to make the best tasting pork you will ever eat! In 2007, we decided to sell our pork to restaurants. Chefs and patrons loved the taste of our pork and kept asking for more pork, and more items, like t-shirts, hats, aprons, patches, and stickers. Here in Goldsboro, our home base is our Heritage Farms General Store where we sell our retail pork line and a little bit of everything else. With our love of North Carolina and our love of pigs, farmers, and all things Southern, we created our NC Pig Flag design that we've put on shirts, hats, belts, glasses, and just about everything really. Muranda Holsteins was founded by Tom and Nancy Murray in 1991. Back then the Murray family’s main focus was producing the highest quality milk out of high caliber cows. in 1997 the Murrays bred a cow that broke the world record for milk production. Muranda Oscar Lucinda produced 67,914 pounds of milk in just one year - that’s about 8500 gallons of milk. In addition to providing the dairy industry with quality genetics, Muranda also won numerous awards for quality milk including earning the Dairy of Distinction recognition for over 25 years consecutively. Muranda Cheese Company was born in late 2007 when the Murray family decided it was time to direct market their products to consumers. We sold our cows in 2019 and began buying milk locally in the area to keep up to cheese demand. Today the farm helps to produce over 17 types of cheeses that have been recognized for their superior artisanal quality. The owner, Peter Roscini Colman, grew up on an organic farm in Vermont and spent summers in Umbria with his babbo’s family. There, he apprenticed with the Norcini, the famed butchers of Umbria, who taught him the methods, techniques, and centuries-old traditions of salumi-making.
