About Olive Rose Chocolates
Tenacious, Bold ... and Sweet! Why is our maple snack inspired by the Guillemot? The Black Guillemot is a tenacious cliff and crag dweller, at home in some of the most beautiful and rugged places on Earth. The Guillemot lays speckled eggs directly on the cliffside without a traditional "nest". The playground of this resilient cousin of the Puffin is the rocky coastline and islets of the North Atlantic. I chose to call our delicious snack Guilley's because the Guillemot embodies the spirit in which this all natural, crunchy, and sweet treat is created. My hope is that you will bring it along on all your daily adventures, whether you are near the sea or simply dreaming of it!

We are the premier crafters of Maine's iconic potato candy - the Needham. What is a Needham? A Needham is a traditional Maine candy with a coconut and potato filling covered in dark chocolate. The potato in the filling provides a rich texture unlike any other candy bar. Needhams were first created in the early 1870’s by candy-maker John Seavey and have become a favorite Maine treat. We’re Gerard and Malaika, and in the spring of 2019, we opened the Maine Needham Company in our hometown, Saco, Maine, where we’ve lived and raised our family for over three decades. Our mission at the Maine Needham Company is to preserve, revitalize, and expand the tradition of the Maine Needham.

From humble beginnings, John Kelly Chocolates has grown to a national brand that never forgets what’s really important. In 2004, on a charming street off Sunset Boulevard, we opened a small chocolate factory in Hollywood. Armed with nothing but determination and a recipe for an amazing, gourmet chocolate fudge, we have since turned John Kelly Chocolates into an award-winning national brand sold in high-end department stores, specialty shops, hotel gift shops, grocers – and online. We now make 19 variations on that original recipe, something we call “truffle fudge”, along with an array of other products, such as walnut caramel clusters, molded chocolates, salted caramels, chocolate-dipped fruit, and more.
