Welcome to Faire! You have just been accepted to sell on Faire, now what? This guide walks you through setting up your shop, inviting your existing customers, and starting to sell!
Build your Shop page
Retailers will explore your shop page to learn more about your brand. This is the place to tell your story. You can share how you got started, your brand’s process, and the mission of your business.
As you build your shop page, you’ll be prompted to add the details below to help retailers get to know your brand:
- Profile image: This is the image retailers will see on your shop page. Choose an image or logo that represents your brand.
- Cover image: This is the image retailers will see at the top of your brand’s page. You can read more about our Cover Image guidelines here.
- Feature image: Your brand’s feature image is the primary image used to showcase your brand throughout our platform. Our design team approves your feature image when you join Faire. You can learn more about our Feature Image guidelines here.
- Logo: Your logo will appear in collections pages and at the top of any marketing email campaigns you send to retailers.
- Brand Story: Share what makes your brand unique and what you care most about. You can also include images and videos to your brand story. Read more about our Brand Story guidelines here.
- About your Brand: You can share information about where your brand is headquartered, where your products are made and when your brand was established.
- Brand practice tags and identity tags: Choose any tags that accurately reflect your brand’s actions or identity. These tags are completely optional and will be displayed on your shop page. Read more about our available tags here.
Upload your entire catalog
Faire recommends uploading your entire catalog, not a select few test products, to get started on Faire. This increases the changes of your products showing in search results, which can lead to more orders. Brands that add more products can see three times more sales in their first year on Faire. We recommend adding your catalog in two ways:
- Integrating with another platform like Shopify, or
- Uploading in bulk from a spreadsheet
You can also add and edit products one by one individually, at any time in your products tab. For more information about how to upload your product catalog, visit How do I upload my product catalog during Onboarding?
Curate high quality images
Retailers may consider visual appearance above all else when making online purchases, so it is important to use your best images. A few ways to make your images shine:
- Make sure your product is the main focus of the image
- Keep the background clean and uncluttered
- Try to keep lighting and background consistent between all images
- Add more photos showing different angles of the product and lifestyle shots to the product page
For more guidance on how to curate high quality images, review Faire’s Product photography guidelines
Add searchable product titles and descriptions
How you talk about your product matters. When choosing a product title, use clear and searchable terms that accurately represent your merchandise.
When it comes to descriptions, the more details, the better! Think about what terms retailers might use to search for your products. You will want to include those keywords in your description along with any other useful details like country of origin, shelf life, storage requirements, and dimensions.
Once you have uploaded your entire catalog and are happy with the results, it is time to go live!
