About this product
VEDA - The Vedic Collection - KALI The name Kali means Time, because time destroys all in the end. Kali is the Goddess of Destruction, the angry aspect of the mother goddess, Uma. Kali has another name, Muldakesi, which means complete freedom. The word Kali also means black, and Kali's color is black, the absolute black of the void. Another of Kali's many names is Digamber Ma, the sky clad mother. Kali is naked except for her skirt of human arms, and her necklace of fifty human heads. Fifty is the number of letters in the Sanskrit alphabet, from whose sounds Brahma created the world. Kali's dance is the dance of victory, the dance of a woman who defeats her enemies alone; Kali is a woman warrior. Pendants come on legend cards with a 33-inch long black cord. Fine lead-free pewter. Packaged on recycled paper cards.
