This very old, well-used, authentic basket was handmade of reeds in a single very narrow gauge coil and woven natural dyed grasses in detailed geometric designs. It has leather loop handles. Its rim is trimmed in leather as well as the rim of the footed base. Exceptional in design and technique these baskets are reflections of a family's wealth.
