Fidji by Kjell Engman is a collection of objects with soft, elegant shapes in multiple hues. The objects, which are part of Kosta Boda Artist Collection, are mouth-blown in a mold at Kosta Glassworks. Raised in a family of musicians, Kjell Engman has always been a musician and a bass player in addition to his professional role as a glass artist. Throughout his long career, Engman’s works have been characterized by vibrant musicality, playfulness, flying colors, joy of life and a distinctive warm sense of humor. Fidji is among his most beloved, classic design objects. The collection, which is part of Kosta Boda Artist Collection, launched in 1988. “The idea came up a long time ago, when I accidentally dropped a can of motor oil in the bathtub.
