School or style? The Bauhaus (1919–1933) is both. This school of applied arts, a laboratory of modernism, was founded in Weimar, Germany. It is characterized by not establishing a hierarchy between the so-called "major" arts (architecture, painting, sculpture) and the so-called "minor" ones (design, fashion, graphic design...).
