Ida & Volta redefines luxury by designing silhouettes in pure, natural materials that are fully traceable to their origins. Our style can be described as “relaxed elegance”, occasionally slightly androgynous and oversized. Our in-depth research into materials and their impact results in “conscious clothes”, made according to the highest ethical standards and all 100% biodegradable. In doing so, we are focusing on revaluing traditional, local materials such as Belgian linen and Portuguese wool. The designs can be combined endlessly and are independent of trends or gender. We are not following the traditional rhythm of the fashion industry; instead, we are steadily building a permanent collection with the help of freelance seamstresses in Portugal, Belgium and a social workplace in Brussels.
