When do children really have fun and, of course, learn while playing? How do great games devised by moms come about? And who is actually behind Schmetterline? As mums, we, Annette and Vanessa, have always asked ourselves: How can children learn important things and have a lot of fun doing so? How can they learn to live their own happy and fulfilled lives? As mothers, we quickly observed that the main activity of children is playing. As they play, they learn and discover the world and themselves. And at some point we wanted the heartfelt desire to offer beautiful, valuable and thoughtful wooden games not only to our own children, but to even more children: That's how Schmetterline was born. At some point, we noticed that although we had already reached many children in Europe, there were still many children in the world who could not afford our games. Since we both have a great interest in sustainable social engagement, our project ENDLOS was born: This allows all families to contribute by sending back their disused, well-preserved game - receive a voucher for this - and we send this game to children in well-managed social projects all over the world!Read their story
