Fat Pom Poms is a one woman brand focusing on Accessories, Homeware & DIY Kits. Jess, the woman behind the brand, has been making since 2014 and decided to take the plunge into business while job working in a kitchen. Jess started off making pom poms and over the years has slowly expanded her use of materials to include resin, tinsel & glitter. One day in 2018 Jess decided to quit her job and take the plunge into the world of owning your own business full time. 2 weeks later she found out she was pregnant (I know, talk about timing). Luckily this gave Jess more of a motivation to make her business work so 9 months later Rudi was born and Jess had already begun work on creating the first Fat Pom Poms DIY Kit. It was the start of a new era for Fat Pom Poms! Her products are inspired by a love of surprisingly perfect and sometimes unexpected colour palettes, conversations with friends, the world around her and art & design from past and present. Jess is known for her use of distinct colour palettes, fun and playful designs & creative ways of using her waste material. Jess has been featured in multiple magazines and publishings such as Mollie Makes, Take a Break, Etsy, Cene Magazine and was recently commissioned by Whistles to create 270 giant pom poms to adorn their shop windows for Christmas. Jess is passionate about using all available waste scraps which led her to develop a technique for using her leftover resin to create Terrazzo effect trays and accessories.
