About Melissa Hyatt

Melissa Hyatt is a watercolor artist and surface pattern designer on The Shoreline of Southern Connecticut, she previously lived on Long Island's bucolic North Fork. She loves to create and paint in her sunlit studio with a view of Palmer's Coce. Melissa's talent came in part from her two grandmothers, both artists who taught her to value the importance of creativity. Inspired by their artistry and commitment, Melissa decided to becoma an artist and designer. Melissa’s design skills were then honed in her work as a design director for Waverly Fabrics and she has continued to work in textiles these past twenty five years. Eager to share her watercolor artwork with a larger audience, she launched her own brand in 2016. She frequents Artisan Markets and Pop-ups with her original art, giclee prints and greeting cards. You can find her work in a select group of small boutiques and paper shops. As well Melissa licenses her designs with manufacturers across the country on greeting cards, wall art, stationery products, ornaments, apparel and paper products.
