About Calua

The Company From the passion of Nicolò, the parent of the Sorrentino family, who has been looking after his olive grove for over forty years taking care of every single tree, the La Casa Rosa Agricultural Society was born. The desire is to make known the goodness of its production of extra virgin olive oil beyond local borders. The estate covers about thirty hectares in the Siculiana countryside in the province of Agrigento in the Calua district in front of the Torre Salsa nature reserve. In the olive grove there are 1,549 over ten-year plants with varieties of Coratina, Biancolilla, Nocellara del Belice, Giarratana and Cerasuola. Our cold-pressed olives produce both a “pure” oil and a “Blend”. Sicilian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil In recent decades, the sale of organic olive oil has been very successful in Italy. The favor with which the public has welcomed the production of organic food is certainly due to the very high quality standards of Sicilian extra virgin olive oil, which thanks to its qualities, always increases plus the need to bring to our tables foods that, in addition to being genuine, are also healthy and obtained through natural methods. The products and, in the case that concerns us more closely, olive oil obtained from organic farming, in fact, boast a record from the point of view of hygiene and health, first of all, but they also excel for nutritional content and organoleptic profile.
