Dena Jane of By Hand is a traveling illustrator who designs from her mobile design studio. Staying ever-inspired by the world around her, she translates her illustrations into various mediums from paintings to prints, and textiles. The recent work with textiles has enabled her to give art a longer life span by allowing it to be worn and used as a tool of self-expression. Her artwork naturally has a very organic feeling of simplicity and asymmetry. It should transform you into an accessible world where everyone can find universal themes such as earthy elements of folk-style motifs, patterns, and symbols. The resulting designs allow all to experience in their own light for any meaning that resonates with them. We are each not just one thing, so neither should the art or what it provides you.
