Welcome to Pisqueya [pees-keh-yah] a first-gen, woman-owned, Latinx-American food company. A premium line of hot sauces & seasonings that adds instant flavor, or what we call Sabor, to everything! We are an acclaimed culture-forward brand that offers heritage-inspired condiments while filling the gap in Hispanic Caribbean representation in the global food market. Each one of our food items is made with a tropical ingredient that we source directly from family owned regenerative farms in the Dominican Republic. We are reclaiming Sabor! What we mean by this is that authentic Latin Caribbean flavors are underrepresented in the food industry. The very ingredients that represent the vibrancy and culture of our traditions have been replaced by low value, artificial flavors based on sugar and salt. We are changing that! We honor ancient traditions & practices by offering food products that truly represent our Latin culture. Every Pisqueya recipe originates from my own family's kitchen, Puerto Viejo, the oldest Dominican restaurant in NYC operating in Brooklyn since 1986. A fire destroyed the family establishment, and in the process of helping my parents rebuild their business, I reconnected with the power of food. Thus, Pisqueya was born.
