About Serafine Art and Design
Serafine Art and Design is founded and run by Marie Lipocky, an Ohio-based illustrator and surface designer. Marie grew up in Northeast Ohio inspired by her dad, who was a professional draftsman. She had a drawing tool in her hand by two years old, and has been honing her skills ever since. Marie’s artwork is inspired by nature, lots and lots of florals, vibrant colors, whimsical themes, and all things cottagecore and cozy. Her style is known for its rich textures and detailed lines. The name “Serafine” comes from Marie’s grandmother (also Marie), whose middle name is now the title of an art business she supported in every way she could. While Marie has been creating artwork for gifts for at least 15 years, Serafine Art & Design was officially founded in 2021, and her bookish art became officially licensed by Sarah J. Maas in 2024. It’s an honor and an incredible privilege to be able to create art for a living, and Marie wants you to know she is infinitely grateful for your support!
