I'm Lindsey Wells, an artist and small business owner based in Southern California. My work is inspired by the simultaneous resilience and fragility of life, found especially in plants and flowers. They are both soft and strong, simple and meaningful, delicate and yet able to survive in some of the harshest conditions. I believe there is comfort in the duality of that: you can be both. This concept is what led me to start painting again in 2019, after a long journey with mental illness. I developed an art process that brought a much-needed sense of peace and mindfulness to my life: I learned to create my own watercolor paint from natural earth pigments, how to run an eco-friendly studio that is kind to the earth, I developed fulfilling creative rituals and painting techniques, and I found connection with others through sharing my work with like-minded collectors. I'm so grateful to be here and to be able to share my work with the world - I hope it brings you a moment of peace in whatever struggles your life throws your way.
