In 2005 I left for Thailand to teach English and after getting my TEFL certification I began to teach at a language school and was working 5 days a week usually teaching adults 18-50 years old in group classes. The culture, the food and scenery was absolutely amazing. As Christmas came around I bought scarves as gifts then headed home to Colorado. After my mom’s friends showed overwhelming interest we decided to start buying more scarves and trying out local shows in Denver, CO. A year later we displayed are products at some events in the mountains near Breckenridge and Vail. Those summer events became very profitable and our customer base gave us a great response. Barrett Imports eventually found its way into high end retail events throughout the US and finally we pushed into the wholesale market in Las Vegas, later doing other exhibitions at Atlanta, GA and San Fransisco. In 2015 we pushed forward and started selling wholesale to stores in over 30 states in the US. From there we have expanded and the rest is history I guess
