SoSS was started by me, Tommy Terrell, in Charlottesville, VA in 2019. Before SoSS I was a Video Producer working in advertising and playing guitar in a band around RVA. I still make videos and music, but over the past few years SoSS has become a core focus of my professional and personal life, and I'm very excited to continue this growth, expand my community, and share my creativity in this way. I love meeting passionate people, collaborating, and sharing the joy of food and flavor with those around me. The Core Trinity of flavors (Orange, Green, Purple) are thoughtful and balanced condiments that are meant to excite the taste buds and spark culinary creativity across a wide range of flavor and heat. They are full-bodied, sophisticated, deep and versatile. Summer Session and other limited flavors will pop up seasonally during local harvests to add extra fun and excitement throughout the year. SoSS respects the seasonality of ingredients and supports regional agriculture, with a focus on supporting women and farmers of color using organic and regenerative practices. Some of our favorite growers are: Crazy Farm, New Roots Charlottesville (International Rescue Committee), F.J. Medina Farm, Singing Earth Produce, Bellair Farm, and other quality growers via 4P Foods. Every season our capacity expands and we look for new partnerships and collaborations with local orgs, farms and restaurants to create something new and exciting.Read their story
