LaTanja Jones Snelling is an Illustrator and Lettering Artist based in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and owner of Creative Pounds. Creative Pounds is a creative studio that designs fun and unique stationery, apparel, and art prints inspired by African American culture. Our mission is to give people the power to love themselves, their community and people that look like them through art. The name, Creative Pounds, is a dedication to the owner’s daughter Logyn. She is a silent (yet not so silent) partner in the business. Logyn’s initials are L.B.S., the same letters used for the abbreviation for the word ‘pounds.’ With our quality products and services we strive to provide customers with “art and design weighted in creativity.”
