Born out of the requirement to supply my daughter with a toxin-free sunscreen to take to primary school, Shade was conceived to provide an effective, safe, practical high quality organic sunscreen without any unnecessary ingredients, that she could easily apply herself. Shade satisfies peoples' need to cut down on plastics as it's supplied in a reusable, infinitely recyclable aluminium tin. Shade contains only four unprocessed, all-natural ingredients and so has a low carbon footprint when compared to highly synthetic high street brands, an attribute which is becoming increasingly desirable for people looking for sustainable cosmetics. Shade contains only non-nano zinc oxide - the safest, most effective sunscreen active ingredient - together with moisturizing and naturally water resistant ingredients, none of which have been found to harm sea life.
