y.e.c - Yoga embracing cork - Yoga in cork is a family business founded in 2012, specializing in yoga accessories made of cork. We are digital nomads with a minimalist, ecological and global worldview. Our core team consists of Ana and her husband Luís. Luis is a Yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience and comes from a family with ties to the cork business that dates back to 1850. Ana is a specialist in logistics, mathematics, and programming with a background in health care. We have a team of dozens of yoga teachers as counselors, from all styles of yoga and from around the world. Once we know that we want to live a minimalist and eco-conscious lifestyle, we don't have an investment in machinery, what we do is rent factories that have this capacity and we make production batches. After that, we store and use printing partners for the logos when necessary. We have a warehouse (in the family for 3 generations) where we store the bulk of our stock in Santa Maria da Feira (the region where there are more cork factories anywhere in the world). Because we believe in a truly global world, we are also working with productions outside Portugal, with the essential principle of using Iberian cork.Read their story
