The Dolphin Studio is a family run hand silkscreen printing company based in Stockbridge Massachusetts. John and Primm ffrench, art teachers at the local high school, founded The Dolphin Studio in 1970 to augment their teachers' salaries to spend their summers traveling with their kids. Fast forward to 2023: The Dolphin Studio tradition is carried on by 2 of John and Primm's daughters, Crispina ffrench and Sofia Hughes, sisters and business partners - still based in Stockbridge MA. Best known around The Berkshires (and around the world) for our hand pulled silkscreen printed 12 x 24in 12-page wall calendar featuring artwork designed by three generations of family members. Dolphin Studio calendars have been featured in The Spruce, The New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, and The Berkshire Eagle. Kitchen towels, art prints, greeting cards and journals round out our collection; all carefully silkscreen printed by hand in our studio. We offer custom screen printing services for on paper services and have printed posters for special events, visual artists, institutions and wedding invitations. Our family business offers a tradition that connects three generations of ffrench family with our loyal customers (some of whom have an archive of all 53 years of our annual calendars!)
