Adelisa & Co. was founded in 2016 by Rachel and Allison after discovering beautiful handcrafted leather shoes in Nicaraguan artisan markets. Inspired by the craftsmanship and cultural significance, they partnered with Marvin, a local shoemaker, to bring high-quality leather shoes to North America. What started as a small collaboration has grown into a thriving workshop led by Marvin, who now oversees a team of over 20 artisans. Their partnership is built on fairness and respect, allowing Marvin to own and grow his workshop while they work together to bring their shared vision to life. Every artisan is paid fairly, contributing to a supportive community where families can thrive. Ethical production is at the heart of Adelisa & Co.. The company is also committed to environmental responsibility, sourcing leather from a facility that meets the highest international standards for water reuse, waste management, and energy efficiency.
