Our founder, Khushbu, was supposed to celebrate Diwali with her boyfriends family for the first time in 2020. Due to Covid, our celebration became virtual. While showcasing how we each decorated our homes that year for Diwali on FaceTime, Khushbu noticed colored flame candles as decor in her boyfriends house. Not thinking too much about it, the product remained in the back of her mind for a year. When Diwali 2021 came around, Khushbu wanted to gift her boyfriends family colored flame candles as a Diwali gift. However, after scouring the internet she could not find them anywhere! What Khushbu believed were colored flame candles on FaceTime turned out to be LED candles. This brought the idea of “why don’t colored flame candles exist?”, and “how can I make them?”
