It all began in 1992 with the idea that Eli Assouline, the founder of chillouts, wanted to finance his studies. He sold art prints at markets and events and did so more successfully than expected! In summer, handmade jewelry and sunglasses were added to the pictures. On his trip around the world, Eli found the unusual jewelry in various countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and then imported it to Germany. In 2003, his first own sunglasses collection. Eli had traveled almost all of Asia as a backpacker in the 90s. Anyone traveling in Thailand back then was also familiar with the notorious “chillout parties.” These parties embodied a certain lifestyle of lightness, as should his new brand and that's how Chillouts was born! The first cap collection was created in 2004, and Eli took it to the first major sports fair. The collection was extremely well received and was a resounding success. In the same year, the current headquarters and associated warehouse were built. Since then, the range has grown ever larger. In addition to the beanies, there were military caps, baseball caps, docker caps and much more, and from then on it was clear that chillouts would only specialize in headwear in the future. We have been designing two collections a year for many years now. Our mission is to develop high-quality, trend-conscious headwear for every head and for every situation, and we still do that today with a great deal of passion, fun and teamwork!

Each one of our one-of-a-kind leather bags and wallets is created by using leftover or scraps of leather to reduce the environmental impact while preserving handmade traditional techniques and supporting the fair trade movement. Our aim is to be a zero waste company and so we try to use every scrap of material. With great effort and joy our artisans select the cutting and the right colors in order to transform waste into a unique piece of art. We are aware that we’re very small in this moment. However, every effort counts and we’re sure that step by step we will contribute to the change needed to close the loop on waste. We believe that conscious fashion is not only possible, but necessary.

Quality and originality are the key words for Les Belles Vagabondes The fabrics have been chosen with great care, choosing only natural materials, 100% silk or 100% wool for the winter, 100% cotton for the summer. The thickness, the quality of the weaving... we took the time to find fabrics that fully satisfy us. Similarly, for printing, we have chosen traditional Indian techniques that have an excellent rendering. Our scarves are printed in a socially responsible workshop using ASO free inks. Design is our asset, Les Belles Vagabondes are inspired by travel and all the discoveries that surround us and amaze us. Brazza is a scarf inspired by Bogolans brought back from Mali or Burkina Faso and also by three magnificent years spent in Congo Brazzaville. Another destination: the Urals with its wild herbs or cranes. The Octave or Symphony scarves were born from the discovery of Ernst Chladni's fascinating work on the figures of sound... Each scarf is born from a drawing... The Belles Vagabondes are fashion accessories born with passion...

With over 30 years of experience and a team, some of whom have been with us for over 20 years, we built a small, family-run business that passionately produces high-quality leather bags. We are located in the heart of the Mediterranean, where a long tradition of highly skilled craftsmen, the "Artesanos de la Piel," practice the art of leather-making. This rich expertise flows into every piece of our collection, making our bags not just accessories but true works of art. Sustainability and Production Leather: Environmentally friendly tanned and certified by the Leather Working Group with Gold or Silver status. Vegetable-tanned leather: We also work with vegetable-tanned leather, which is environmentally friendly and durable. Lining: Made from 48% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester, or a beautiful pink eco-textile that is very durable, antibacterial, and environmentally friendly. Local Production = Short Distances: All our products are made in Spain, using materials from local tanneries and fabric factories. Work Culture: Our employees work until 3 PM so that they have time for their families and personal lives. We place great value on a positive working environment and love celebrating each other's birthdays together. Retail and Community: We firmly believe in retail. This is the only way a beautiful, diverse city or village can differentiate itself and support a strong community.

Five years punctuated by trips, professional experiences and meetings. After five years, I obtained a Master's degree in Business at Lindenwood University. But it was also five years during which, as if to recall my “French roots”, I very often accompany my outfits with a pair of suspenders. Regardless of the location, I always see a unanimous enthusiasm for this accessory. I often wear them with jeans on a T-shirt or shirt. An accessory with a certain sympathy capital, it was in May 2015 that I took the bets and decided to create my brand. I create Vertical l'Accessoire, cool and “updated” straps made in France 🇫🇷, for totally trendier and original outfits.
