About Plataica

Plataica is a creative artisan jewelry firm in silver that avoids the usual trends in accessory making to create new paths and plastic possibilities. From the execution of the formal processes that lead to the final pieces, to the very conceptual conception of each idea, Plataica's items are conceived as if they were small sculptures. The main raw material the firm relies on is sterling silver or silver 925, although sometimes it serves as a guiding thread to experiment with other materials and finishes. Each of the pieces that make up the collections is handcrafted, entirely artisanally, without mass production equipment. Each piece is unique in Plataica. Behind Plataica is myself, Iván Rodríguez, although you probably also know me as @TwittBoy on social media. For the last 10 years, I have been fully dedicated to creating various web projects with varying degrees of success... but that's another story. Since I was very young, I have been interested in the world of Art and construction, or rather destruction, giving free rein to my imagination with practically anything that fell into my hands and could be taken apart and reassembled in any other way to satisfy any other strange (and empty) need. Thanks to the support of my parents and my family in general, I finally trained at the Faculty of Fine Arts.Read their story
