As a lover of jewelry, I believe jewelry is meant to be worn everyday – and not just stored in a pretty box. I used to own a wedding decorating business (Milan Weddings) for 10 years, and after selling it, my family “encouraged” me to find a creative since I was becoming cranky. Hence my love of creating gemstone bracelets was born. Mumu Beads was created in September 2022 and I began selling custom gemstone bracelets and handcrafted necklaces and earrings. Soon I added a STEM collection. People ask me why I named my company Mumu Beads. It’s named after my youngest daughter Maarya – whose nickname is Mumu Maarya has special needs - epilepsy, myasthenia gravis and is delayed mentally. You can follow her journey @celebrating_maarya (Instagram). She fills our lives with love and goofy antics! She loves Disney villains, singing and cuddles! Maarya taught our family a lot - from choosing to be positive every day (rather than wallowing in worry about her) to being grateful for all the little moments.
