Founded by two friends in 2017 who wanted to make the clothes they could never find to keep going 24/7, they have created clothes for fluid, modern lifestyles that perform and support. Cucumber’s core is fabrics that feel baby soft against the skin. Their performance fabrics are all about drape, softness, and movement fused with breathable, anti-crush, stay fresh, easy care technology. Cucumber clothing is made for longevity. Everything is designed, sampled, manufactured, graded and warehoused within a five-mile radius in London, meaning less waste and carbon emissions. Cucumber believes in the power of local. Their minimal packaging is all sourced in England, using 100% compostable and biodegradable vegetable starch storage bags, recycled and recyclable postal sacks and packing and swing tags made from recycled office waste. All their trims are sourced within England and Cucumber uses Royal Mail for deliveries to avoid putting more vehicles on the road. Cucumber’s believes in seasonless style, with timeless, long-lasting, quality pieces. Everything is easy care, spot or machine washable, hang dry, no iron, meaning less use of water and energy and less carbon emissions in a garment’s lifetime. Cucumber is slow fashion all the way.
