The vision for Lake Erie Design Co. started during a typography class in college when I was first introduced to the letterpress machine. Shortly after I graduated, my parents tracked down an old Chandler & Price letterpress machine on the west side of Cleveland and surprised me with it. My dad and I spent that summer taking the press apart piece by piece, cleaning and refurbishing it. He put it completely back together from memory, and we began learning the art, mechanics and culture of letterpress printing. I was hooked. Lake Erie Design Co. officially launched in early 2018. We create simple yet meaningful designs to bring joy and beauty into homes.
