Wooden Element is a small Illinois based artisan company with a passion for fashion, creativity, and preserving nature. Our little company is run by a husband-and-wife duo (Natalie & David Akerele), working closely with talent in our local community. We also partner with a few talented artisans for some of our products. We handcraft wooden accessories for Ladies and Gentlemen. We use ethically sourced, recycled, or re-purposed wood for all our handcrafted accessories. We also use peta-approved vegan cork to make our cork products. We started in Wicker Park, Chicago, and eventually migrated to Central IL. We are now based in Peoria, IL. We aim to reinterpret classical fashion accessories and give them a modern wooden edge. In terms of our core values, we value our environment and believe in sustainable fashion. We also believe in social impact as a brand. We support Easter Seals and Susan Komen (Central IL). We support Sudan Interior Mission (SIM)-Egbe Revitalization Project West Africa. Lastly, we support Best Buddies International (IL Chapter). In terms of environmental responsibility, we use Eco-friendly resins, ethically sourced and/or recycled natural wood, up-cycled materials, and biodegradable materials whenever possible. We also utilize shipping/packing material made from recycled paper. Wooden Element is a minority owned, and a Woman owned small business. Our website is mywoodenelement.com.
