Every bag is a sail, every sail has a story. Bolina Sail is an artisanal workshop based in Lignano Sabbiadoro, a small peninsula that overlooks the Adriatic Sea between Venice and Trieste. The lagoon that surrounds us inspires us every day through a rich ecosystem and its suggestive landscapes. The sea is our world: we want to do our part to reduce the environmental impact of man on Earth. The wind is a typical speed of a sailboat that allows you to “go up” the wind, to carry the bow as much as possible in its direction in order to gain speed. For those who sail the windmill, the most exciting pace, in which it is normal for the boat to tilt and be carried away, as if it were to suddenly take off... Our choice to work with upcycling, starting from waste materials and transforming them into something new, our way of “going up the wind”. For us, a dynamic and exciting challenge, even when the whole world seems to be going “with the wind in its sails” (that is, favorable) in a completely different direction. A change of course is necessary, and humanity is taking up this challenge with ever greater seriousness. In our small way, we too are making our contribution.
