A woman named Ai loved candles, especially scented candles in jars. She bought a lot of candles but was frequently unhappy with them. One day, Ai decided enough was enough. She loved chemistry and was constantly making soaps, bath bombs, lotions, and other such things to make her friends' lives better. Why not make a candle that she loved? So she set to work learning the fine art of chandlery. She burned a lot of testers, broke a few jars, and filled her house with lots of smells. Some were terrible, some not quite that bad, and some were truly lovely. It took her over a year, but she finally made candles she was happy with. They burned safely, the vessels were never too hot to touch, all the wax was used, they smelled wonderful, and they lasted a very long time. She poured them into beautiful glass jars that she could leave around her house as decoration or fill with trinkets, hair clips, sweets, and other such things after the wax was gone. Read their story
