When developing the brand, Rush, Botánica's founder, returned to her Hispanic roots and referenced the Latino botánicas, holistic shops where people seek spiritual artifacts, healing, herbs, natural medicines, ointments, plants, etc. Rush’s grandmother taught her the importance of always taking the natural approach to healing and appreciating the power of botanicals. Therefore, Rush's main goal was to take these principles and apply them to skin care.
