Melissa Funderburk is an artisan skincare product developer in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her journey began in the midst of profound personal suffering. In 2020, she developed severe skin sensitivities, leaving her hands bandaged, her everyday tasks insurmountable, and her heart heavy. But through faith and perseverance, Melissa discovered a calling hidden in her trials. Forced to craft her own soaps to protect her skin, she found not only healing but a deep passion. What started as a necessity transformed into a purpose—creating handcrafted, natural skin products that meet the needs of those who, like her, struggle to find solutions for skin allergies and chemical sensitivities. Melissa credits her creativity and success to her faith, viewing every recipe, scent, and product as a testament to God’s grace and glory. Waves, Daydreams & Lather is more than a business; it’s a reminder of hope, and a celebration of resilience. Whether it remains a small, personal endeavor or grows into something greater, Melissa knows it’s all part of God’s plan.
