The Acadian is an independent designer and manufacturer of heirloom leather and waxed canvas goods, inspired by the ruggedness and beauty of the state of Maine, and handmade in the USA. Our goal is to build heirloom quality products that generations of customers will be proud to own and pass on. Owner and lead craftsman Chris Cavallari began his career in the film and television industries as a cameraman and director of photography. Over time, his woodworking and leathercraft hobbies became his career focus, and in 2019, he founded The Acadian after calls for the products he made for himself turned into a demand that showed promise of a viable business. Our Mission To inspire people to find a joyful pride in American craft and embrace sustainable investment in the things we own.
