Ever since I touched clay for the very first time in high school art class I knew ceramics would be the driving force in my life. This art soon became a way for me to bring functionality to pieces that I could personally enjoy and share. I love every single minute of creation throughout the multi-step process. Each and every part of this process is done by me. Prep, throwing, trimming, cleaning, glazing, firing, and packaging. Clay is more than just a medium for me; it's my therapy, my creative outlet, and a way to keep me grounded in this crazy world. In the last few years, as I’ve learned new techniques for pressing botanicals and glaze combinations, my work has evolved. New and larger and more detailed pieces have come to fruition and I’m excited to see where this can go! Each piece I make is a reflection of my love for the outdoors, my passion for craftsmanship, and my commitment to creating functional artwork that brings beauty and warmth to any space. The New York’s Hudson River Valley is where home is. Since hiking mountains has and always will be important to me, I feel very lucky to have the Catskill mountain range so close. As a lifelong nature lover, I draw form the textures, colors and shapes around me — whether its the stunning Catskills or the peaceful forests that surround my home and art studio. I am so glad that you are here to discover my work and I hope my ceramics will bring as much joy and serenity to your life as they do mine. Thank you. All love.
