Maria Isais graduated college with an AA degree in Visual Communications in 1999. As a recipient of the "Tools for Success" Award, she was provided with the necessary graphic design software and equipment to pursue a career in digital arts. Shortly after, she started designing custom logos, business cards, brochures and t-shirts for friends and family. By August 2006, she created her first dog focused artwork in the form of a poster of her beloved dog, Chuy. From that point on, her artwork seemed to revolve around dogs, or pet related subjects. Thus, "ArtzyDog Studio" was born. ArtzyDog, the Chihuahua with the lime green glasses, represents her inner love for all creatures. Even though the image of ArtzyDog is of a seemingly small and shy Chihuahua, she has a big heart and knows how to show her passion of life through art! As a graphic designer, Maria doesn't rely on filters to recreate her artwork. Instead, the artwork is executed using a graphic illustration technique. She spends many hours using photographs as a reference for her creations, from re-drawing details to capturing the characteristics and personality of beloved pets. She likes to think of it as "Creating memorable personalized pet artwork that last a lifetime..."
