We are an award-winning, family-run business based in Melbourne, Australia. Our guiding principle is that all a child needs to bring their imagination to life is the right tools. Which is where Makedo comes in. In 2009, our founder PJ was inspired by how much time his kids would spend playing with the cardboard box rather than the toy. He set about designing a series of open-ended tools to help kids turn that ordinary cardboard into something extraordinary. Fast-forward a few years and Makedo is now stocked internationally and used by thousands of kids in maker spaces, libraries and classrooms all over the world. Makedo is on a mission to empower kids to build a better future through making and play — one piece of cardboard at a time.
